In 1967, Marian and Ansel "Buck" Jewell built and opened the commercial space we are excited to introduce to you as The Evergreen.
Located in the heart of our Bridgeport community, the 5,000-square-foot space was a gift shop, sold Cassady furniture, and was the only local provider of wedding equipment and supplies. After 30 successful years, Marian retired from the Mari-Anna Gift Shop and rented the space to several businesses, including an adult daycare; a daycare for over 90 Franklin County children; and, most recently, an auction venue.
Fran Luscher, daughter of Marian and Buck, and her daughters, Amy Luscher Smith, Jenny Luscher, and Cindy McCann, and their families are renovating the building space to bring a cafe and gathering space to the local community.
